Canada is mainly famous for having friendly and polite people (who seem to be immune to cold), but that’s not the only great thing about it. It’s a country that has a lot to offer in terms of culture, nature, entertainment, and everything else that would make a vacation there unforgettable. With that in mind, here are a few reasons why Canada should be on your bucket list.
1. Food
Canada has a lot of natural resources, which also means that it has a lot of healthy and delicious dishes. For example, you can find the freshest seafood you could imagine on the East Coast, while Quebec would make you fall in love with its poutine. Plus, since Canada is very ethnically diverse, you can easily find dishes from all over the world, which only makes traveling to Canada that much more efficient. Last but not least – they have maple syrup. So, you will surely not go hungry there, but you might need to go on a diet when you return home.
2. Nature
Although when somebody mentions Canada, beaches might not be the first thing that comes to mind, it does have plenty of those. Just like it has beautiful mountains, exciting hiking trails, breathtaking icefields, and gorgeous northern lights. In other words, no matter what type of natural wonders you are looking for, you could definitely find it by traveling to Canada and Alaska. Canada is truly a paradise for all nature lovers and those trying to reconnect with nature. Just don’t forget to bring your camera with you, so you can enjoy looking at all the beautiful landscapes even after your vacation ends.
3. Wildlife
If you love animals, here’s one more reason to visit Canada; no matter where you go in Canada, you’re pretty much guaranteed to run into some wildlife – and this includes the urban cities. Although this mostly happens in the spring, you can see wild animals pretty much all year round. That being said, even though they are gorgeous to look at, you should know not to get too close. Always treat animals with respect, and you and the animals both are more likely to have a pleasant experience.
4. Adventures
Considering the above-mentioned natural wonders, it’s safe to say that there are plenty of things you can do in Canada. For example, you can rent a kayak and observe wildlife while kayaking across a lake. Or, you can enjoy some mountain riding and truly become a part of nature. Finally, even if you’re more of a city person who’s not that interested in reconnecting with nature, Canada has more than a few urban centers that you can explore – and perhaps do some shopping in. The one thing that’s really not possible in Canada is being bored.
5. Reflection
If you’re a person who doesn’t like crowds, Canada is a perfect destination for you. There are many secluded hotels that can offer you all the peace and quiet that you could wish for. Plus, thanks to the touch of cold, fresh air, your mind is bound to be clearer than ever before. So, if you need to make an important decision in your life, if you’re trying to reconnect with yourself, or if you’re simply looking for some answers, Canada is the perfect place for reflection.
With all that the country has to offer, we wouldn’t be surprised if you decided to make a move to live there permanently! Houses and land are relatively cheap in Canada, but you might still need a mortgage from K5 Mortgage or another similar mortgage lender to move there. With so much land available, you may even want to contemplate building your own home – there is no shortage of expansive mountain views that you can situate your house in. Alternatively, you might want to move to one of Canada’s larger cities like Toronto. Full of culture and history (and slightly warmer than up north), Toronto is perfect for anyone who wants to experience Canadian city life.
Canada is an amazing country that can offer you everything you could ask for, whether you prefer eating delicious food in the middle of a city or recharging your batteries far away from any crowds. So, think about what it is that you’re looking for, do some research on the best part of Canada that can offer you what you need, and start planning your next vacation.
Canada is such a beautiful country. I’ve only had the chance to go there once, but I’m itching to get back.
I love cities, but if I´m to pick one – I´m a nature person. Canada looks like my kind of place. I wish could visit soon and explore more of its landscapes! I´ve also heard that people are extremely friendly there!
I love canada, with all its wonderful mountains and majestic views. The people there are so friendly too.
We were supposed to go to Canada this summer, but my sister didn’t want to watch my cat, lol. The family members who did offer when they heard, were sweet to do so, but it wouldn’t have been good for the cat (big dogs, and such). I’d still love to go someday.
They have some really pretty views in Canada. Plus, they have good chocolate! Ha ha!
Canada sounds so amazing! I had never thought about it as a diverse place. Thank you for sharing!
You give so many reasons to visit Canada. It is now on my bucket list!
Love this, and it is def on my bucket list. Can’t wait to see it all and explore.
We love going to Canada. The scenery is so peaceful and beautiful. Everyone seems laid back. There’s always something to do there.
Canada….has always been a plan for me. I so much want to visit my older brother that lives there!
Canada seems like a great place to explore, and I like visiting places with a lot of natural beauty and hiking trails and your article makes me think that I’ll find everything I am looking for in Canada. Thanks a lot for sharing this article 🙂
Canada’s food is amazing. While traditionally heavy, new cuisine has put a lighter spin on these. You captured the great outdoors nicely. Some of my favorite cities are on the East Coast (Montreal and Quebec) so I hope to go west next.
Fresh-water glaciers in the Canadian Rockies and the Coast Mountains make it one the loveliest places to live in.
We are visiting Canada again later this year. So many of the things we love about it are in your post. The spectacular scenery is always at the top of the list. I love how uncrowded Canada is once you get out of the big cities. So much space and so easy to drive without all the traffic.
I went to the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls – this as deep into Canada as I went. But I must say, the people were so kind and your photos so amazing, that I’m inspired to return someday and see more of the beautiful country!
I want to go to Banff! And eat lots of poutine!!
Canada has been on our bucket list for a while. Especially British Columbia for the hiking and camping. That’s the best place for it right? Also you mentioned food…I can eat delicious poutine all day!
Canada is a beautiful country and is on our bucket list. We would love to visit Canada because of its pristine natural beauty and wildlife. Indeed Canada has some of the best natural landscapes in the world.
Canada is indeed a beautiful country with beautiful people. And we have a lot to offer! For the outdoorsy type, you’ll find a lot of hiking trails, beautiful lakes, stunning beaches and majestic mountains here. For urban-goers, you’ll definitely find a lot of attractions and experiences in the cities too.
I totally agree with the reasons you mentioned and yes, Canada has always been part of our bucketlist. Not to mention my bestfriend immigrated there 2 years ago. I am so excited to visit this Christmas.
Canada is surely a very beautiful country. I have heard so much about the natural beauty of the country. You have given me enough reasons to plan a trip to Canada. If not for anything, I would love to visit Canada for its mountains, icefields and breathtaking sceneries.
I am sold on adventure and natural beauty. I am so excited to visit Canada. It has some of the most gorgeous locations and surreal landscapes. And I have heard a lot of the people as well. Loved reading the post.
I loved the nature and scenery when I was last in Canada. Honestly, I didn’t try as much of the local food as I wanted, as I found many American style places there. Reflection and alone time is important to me, and Canada’s an amazing place to do this.
I’ve only been to Canada once, but was so impressed I’m dying to go back!! There are so many gorgeous places and you are right- the nature, the food, and the cultures! Love it all! I would love to take my husband and my son!
Canada has always been on my bucket list for long. After reading this post it has come right on top. Loved the reasons. The best one for me was the solitude. I love traveling to places that not too crowded. Love some quiet time.
What I love most about Canada is the diversity within the country. I’m from the United States, so I’m able to easily travel to Canada. Every region I visit is distinctly different from the rest though. I love exploring those differences through the culinary universe — hello, poutine! — and also through the national parks. Canada is definitely a must-see for all travelers.
These are some wonderful reasons to visit Canada! Last year, I visited the Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island) and found it to be just as you say: delicious seafood, incredible outdoor experiences, and a great opportunity to reflect amidst the beauty of the northeast region. I have yet to explore other regions in Canada – but from what I’ve seen and heard, I know it will be equally as fulfilling… Oh, Canada!
I visited the West Coast, Vancouver and Victoria Island and absolutely loved the vibe there. It seemed laid back and I especially remember the big Chinatown in Vancouver. I love nature and so would like to go back and visit Banff and have a bit of time to reflect.
I have heard a lot of good things about Canada. Nature is of course on the list of everyone. I would love to indulge in food. Maple syrup sounds exciting. Wildlife is my next favorite.
You got me at the reflection – I would love to have a place by myself where there is not much crowd. Plus the nature, wildlife, and adventures – what else do I want? I would love to spend half a year at least in Canada.
Canada is so beautiful. The landscape is amazing! So many reasons to visit Canada!
Canada is definitely one place I will go this year especially for Banff, the scenery is so beautiful in Canada.
