The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (CCI-France Philippines) and Pacific Cross will be holding the 2018 Tennis Tournament on May 19, 2018 at the Metropolitan Club, Makati City. The event is the 4th tennis tournament organized by CCI-France Philippines with Pacific Cross co-organizing with them this year. The event will be a friendly competition attended by players from different levels with a partner. It will be a doubles tournament where players will be teamed up randomly to compete against other teams. Furthermore, there will be activities for all ages to enjoy.
Last year, the CCI-France Philippines organized a successful tennis tournament held at the same venue. After a whole day of intense matches, the winners were declared. Team Blue battled Team Philam and won at Battle for third to place third in the competition. For the finals, Team Peperes, composed of French players Gerald Egasse and Nicolas Lefevre overcame friends Dino Ferrari and Willie Luna and were declared the champions.
CCI-France Philippines is a non-stock, non-profit organization that promotes bilateral relations between France and the Philippines. La Cornue is known for its original and uniquely built cookers and ranges which are considered as a kitchen masterpiece. The organizers aimed at spearheading events like the tennis tournament, that serve as platforms for members and its connections to expand their network and build valuable relations and future collaborations.
The CCI-France Philippines and La Cornue were supported by Paris Delice, who provided the players’ French fast good breakfast and the coffee from HMR who served their premium roast coffee through the Deli chef coffee machine. Friends from Caffeined from Mozaic Living also served their own local hand brewed coffee.
Winners won gift certificates from Dusit Thani, New World, Gautier, and premium bottles of Borderies XO and Borderies VSOP from Camus. The event was also made possible by Blue Horizons Travel and Tours, Solaire Resorts and Casino, and Etihad Airways.

The doubles tournament on May 19 looks interesting. It will help to further boost the bilateral relations between France and Phillipines!
This sounds like it was a great event. I like that it is catered for all ages to enjoy. It looks like you had a lovely time.
What a great event that CCI-France Philippines setup and excellent way to cater and get people together for great family fun. The La Cornue products sound like a great addition to the kitchen product line too.
What a creative way to promote diplomacy and inter-cultural exchanges! I love the idea and wish more countries would initiate programs like this.
The tournament looks like a great event to get everyone together in a healthy sport. Looks like a lot of fun actually!
Sports + foodie= very goodluck health lifestyle! I’m not a playing sports hoWever tennis is good sport! 🙂🙂
The one thing that stuck out to me is the fact that it’s a non-stock, non-profit organization. I think those two things coupled together facilitate world peace in a whole different way. It might be only a fraction of world peace, but still — it’s impressive. I wish other organizations would take note and follow suit.
This sounds like so much fun. There was so much support from so many organizations. So great for the kids

It’s nice to hear this news, Tennis lovers are really jovial now, I could imagine. But it would be a good relationship between France and the Philippines.
I’ve always wanted to attend a lively tennis match or tournament! They can be so intense just watching from television; I bet they are awesome in person!
