Thailand has been one of my favorite gastronomic hotspots in Asia. Today, I had the chance to have an overnight Bangkok foodie experience. I took advantage of the long layover in Thailand. I dined at Eat.Tion, a Thai food restaurant.
The restaurant was lively with original Thai music as their background. It is ventilated enough and it is clean.
Here are some of the items I tried on their menu:
I was a bit disappointed with the presentation. Taste wise, it did not made an impact too.
Eat Tion is located at Nong Prue Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan, Thailand. They are open 24/7.
The verdict: Average
The Tennis Foodie’s favorite: Sago & Black Bean in Coconut Cream
In my experience, the best Thai food was sold in the street and eaten by hand. Some restaurants disappointed me quite a bit as well, although there were a few successes in my food excursion in Bangkok and in Krabi.
Wow what a lovely experience to have. I would love to visit Thailand, the duck sounds amazing. 🙂
Because of the food, I think I can pretty much live anywhere in Thailand. Love Thai cuisine. Your photos make my mouth water! xo
Goodness, I have never had “real” Thai food. That duck looks amazing! And I’ve never had duck, so that’s saying something!
With Thai food in Thailand, I think presentation is almost always disappointing, but the flavor usually makes up for it. I enjoyed the food in Bangkok and Krabi, but it certainly didn’t look appealing!
I have not been to Thailand, but I’ve had Thai food. I think duck is my favorite. Sorry to hear that the restaurant disappointed. Good food should be enjoyed!

Oh now this sounds like an interesting place to go and get something to eat. I would love to try Thai food myself one day.
This all looks really good. I’ve never been lucky enough to eat Thai food but I’ve heard people say how good it is.
I haven’t had egg noodles in awhile. I’d go back just for those. 🙂
I would eat and eat and eat! I LOVE Thai food. The flavors, spices, and textures are just amazing.
Oh my gosh, this restaurant looks so amazing! I absolutely love eating Thai food, so I’ll have to try this place out one day.
I would have to say that I too enjoyed street Thai food and side restaurants much more than the airport ones. They’re authentic but for some reason, miss the flair.
Thai food is amazing if had at the right places.Sad to hear your experience was not too good.
That roasted duck egg noodles look so delicious and I remember eating them for lunch everyday when I was in Thailand. Your post just inspire me to go back there!
The egg noodles with roasted duck looks pretty tasty! I’ll have to make that for myself one day!
I don’t think I’ve ever tried Thai food, believe it or not. Though I know so many people that love it. I need to try it one of these days.
I can see why it’s one of your favorite! It looks SO good! I can’t wait to give it a try.
That’s too bad the taste and presentation didn’t live up to the way it was decorated. I love though, that they had the music playing.
This place looks like it’s serving real Thai food. It would be a good place to dine in.
I love Thai food! Would love to try the duck with noodles as I haven’t tried that dish before.
I would love to eat thai food. And this restaurants is so amazing. I am planning some day that I visited this restaurant.
Mmm! This post made me miss my time in Thailand!
I’m sure you were expecting the food to be above average because, well, you are in Thailand. How authentic can you get? So I could imagine your disappointment. I’d still love to try Thai cuisine though.
I have never had something like the sago and beans. Sounds so interesting!
