Last June 12, I came across a neighborhood cafe serving a fusion of local and Asian comfort food, specially brewed coffee and yummy pastries. Curious Table is the name of the cafe. Are you getting curious now? I was surprised! Why? I didn’t expect that a start up cafe would be able to meet my expectations… way above my expectations!
It was a rainy afternoon. I got drenched in the rain. I played tennis few hours before I went to this casually street inspired cafe. I was searching for a cup of local Joe. As the good aroma of the slowly brewed beans fill my nose, I saw smiles from people I just met for the first time.
I immediately sat on the table. Ordered a Turmeric Latte and chatted with one of the owners. The Curious Table Team is composed of Rayan Rivera as co-owner and administrative lead, Nasia Cammayo as co-owner and marketing lead, JB Reyes as one of the co-owners and chef and John Monteclaro as co-owner and head barista. They are also joined by Doms Osana as one of their junior barista. They surely have diverse and fun team ready to served you.
Here are some of the best food items I tried on their current menu:
I first tried the desserts of course! Carrot cake is one of my favorite cakes of all time. With their own homemade version, it was “Zest-ra special” since it was flavored with lemon zest. It was so refreshing and lite. It was not too sweet. I finished it immediately as it was really that good. I paired it with the Turmeric Latte. I’ll give it an ACE.
Curious Fried Chicken is not your typical fried chicken. It was served on the side with Indian butter sauce, pickled vegetables and generous amounts of rice. Talk about carbo and protein loading. It’s perfect for athletes and on the go guys like me. My verdict? I’l give it a HIT.
Beef Rendang was not as visually appealing like the Curious Fried Chicken but it was very tasty. It was served with pickled veggies and hefty amounts of rice. Sulit! My grade? HIT.
Turmeric Latte is the perfect drink for non-coffee drinkers. It is the relaxing and calming drink for rainy days. My score? An ACE for me.
I really loved every bite of Black Sesame Cheesecake. It was not too sweet but it was very rich in flavor. It is perfectly paired with any freshly brewed coffee. My verdict? It got an ACE for me.
Did you know that they also have “to go” cold brew? They ensure freshness on each bottle. You can also return the bottle and get a 15 pesos rebate for each.
Curious Table is located at 2575 Espiritu St. Cor. Consuelo, Vitocruz, Manila, Philippines 1004. They are open from 11 AM – 8 PM from Monday to Friday.

I’ll try the beef rendang and turmeric latte. I didn’t know much about turmeric until last year. Now I have a container of turmeric powder in my kitchen.
That is an interesting post. Now, I am curious about what the tumeric latte tastes like. Was it good?
It’s so fun to stumble across a cool new place like this! I love that they give you a refund when you return your cold brew bottles.
I love turmeric latte. It’s one of the more expensive coffees at my favourite cafe, so when my loyalty card is full I use it to order one. That carrot cake looks tasty, too.
I love the details, so many times reviews lack details. This makes me want that chicken so bad! This is going in my yelp bookmarks. Thank you for the find!
This looks like a wonderful place to grab something to eat and enjoy! That carrot cake sounds absolutely delicious!!!!!
I had never heard of black sesame in a dessert! How interesting! This looks like such a cozy little place for a good meal and cup of coffee!
My husband drinks turmeric tea to help him with his chronic pain. I am interested to know more about the turmeric latte. It does look more delicious than just the tea.
I love that you tried dessert first. Carrot cake is a fave of mine too. I can’t remember the last time I had one though!

I wanna try the curious fried chicken and beef rendang as I love meat a lot. The food seems delicious and certainly make me so curious to find out!
Nice concept of the name of the restaurant.
Wow in fact the maximum of goodness, to taste, order and enjoy!
Curious Table looks like a great restaurant. I love the atmosphere, and the food looks great. I’d love to get my hands on that carrot cake.
Some very different sounding things here. Tumeric latte is certainly different. I guess there are a number of spices you could use to make a latte if you get creative.
Wow, those food looks really delicious most especially the carrot cake and turmeric latte.
Latte and carrot cake. Two of my favorites! Never tried turmeric latte tho. You made me curious.
Everything looks so delicious! This makes me miss restaurants. We haven’t been to one since February.
That looks so good! I love the variety of dishes that they offer, totally making me hungry!
It sounds like they have a great menu. I LOVE tumeric lattes, so comforting and healing
Carrot cake…I don’t think I have had something like that before. I would love to try it out, though.
I am all in for Turmeric Latte. Here, in India, people have started increasing the intake of turmeric because of its anti-viral properties and the entire Covid situation.
I can’t wait to try eating here! Especially the carrot cake! I haven’t had a good carrot cake in years!
