Bulacan Lugaw Kitchen (BLK) recently expanded at Greenhills. I previously visited their first branch at SM Mall of Asia and I got impressed with the regional local food that they serve. I am a big fan of lugaw especially during rainy season. Once again, the underrated Bulacan cuisine has been put to spotlight.
On this new store, they elevated and improved the quality of their lugaw which can compete with foreign concepts. The food is distinctly Filipino in a modern carinderia setting.

I was able to try the following items:
Lugaw, Tokwa’t Baboy (LTB) was my first choice. It did not disappointed as BLK improved the taste of their famous lugaw. The crunchiness of the tokwa at baboy added additional texture to the softness and delicateness of the lugaw, I’ll give this combo an ACE.
I tried their Beef Caldereta with plain rice. It’s very filling and home-style like. I love it with lots of pepper and a pinch of salt. I wish the sauce was thicker yet the taste really captured my heart during my visit. You can ask the staff to add more carrots and potatoes. I like mine with more meat. I’ll give it a HIT.
Paradusdos really gave a cool memory to my visit. It is actually an exclusive BLK flavor created by Sebastian’s Ice Cream. Paradusdos is also known as ginataang bilo-bilo which is a local dessert in Bulacan. Made of glutinous rice, tapioca, sweet potato and other root crops, it will surely bring out the sweet tooth in you. It was very unique in flavor and I think it’s the highlight of my visit. I’ll give it an ACE.
Did you know that Bulacan Lugaw Kitchen also sells their famous Atchara and Sukang Bulacan? If you haven’t tried it, it’s the perfect chance to grab a bottle or two.
I can really recommend Bulacan Lugaw Kitchen. Apart from its affordable prices, they serve hot and fresh food that will surely tickle your tummies.
Bulacan Lugaw Kitchen is located at G/F Connecticut Carpark Bldg, Ortigas Ave, Greenhills, San Juan. They are open from 6 AM – 1 AM daily to serve you.
